Heating Sources

  • Boilers

The boiler is the source of your home’s heat. It heats a continuous flow of water which then flows through your Luxury Heating system to transfer the heat to your home.

There’s a range of different fuel types available to run your boiler.

The job of the boiler is to transfer heat to water. It’s integral to the process because your Luxury Heating system functions on the flow of water through pipes laid in the foundations and structure of your new home. Gas tends to be the most popular fuel where piped gas is available because it’s efficient, cost-effective and compact in size.

Alternatively, you can install a heat pump. Even though a heat pump runs on electricity it is still three to four times more efficient than a traditional electric heater. A heat pump is a good choice where gas isn’t available or is too expensive. Other types of boilers operate on diesel fuel, wood pellets or even firewood. Each type of boiler has its advantages and our engineers are well equipped to advise you on which fuel is best suited to your circumstances and what’s required for installation.

The boiler needs a source to generate heat. The source is generally fuel but not always. Gas tends to be the most popular fuel where piped gas is available because it’s efficient, cost-effective and consumes less space than a boiler fuelled by diesel or wood and wood pellets. Solar energy can be integrated into your Luxury Heating system and that makes sense if you already have a solar hot water system. Each type of boiler has its advantages and our engineers are well equipped to advise you on which fuel is best suited to your circumstances and what’s required for installation.
